What is happening to my orchid?

I have had one of my orchids for about a year. Grew beautifully even after my niece broke it when "picking the pretty flower." I recently bought another "mini orchid" and set it next to it on the window. Now, after a couple weeks, both orchids look like they are dying. The leaves are becoming prune like almost like human skin when it sits in the tub for too long. Some of the flowers and leaves have died. This never happened until I introduced the new orchid. Any thoughts?
