My granddaughter is having a really hard time going to the bathroom!?

my 7 month old granddaughter is having a very hard time with bowel movements, they are so hard and large for her age that she has bled while going, we have tried prunes and apples baby food and prune juice, apple juice and grape juice, and nothing seems to help. what do you suggest we do to make her bowel movements easier for her?
