Dad kicked my little cairn terrier for barking at the tv?

i don't know what to do. but i heard it from downstairs she hit the china hutch so i ran upstairs she was laying on the couch shaking. when i picked her up so yelped like she was hurt. what should i do? she is now in my room for protection.
